Ancelotti Pushes Real Madrid to Sign Tottenham Striker

In a surprising turn of events, it appears that Real Madrid’s seasoned manager, Carlo Ancelotti, is making a strong case for the club to set their sights on Tottenham’s multi-talented forward, Richarlison, as the summer transfer window looms.

This scoop comes courtesy of the Spanish sports news outlet, Defensa Central, which has been keeping a close eye on the unfolding drama.

Richarlison, the Brazilian international, has been a figure of intrigue in the Premier League for the past six years. His journey began with Watford, where he quickly became a standout player.

He then moved on to Everton, where he spent four fruitful years before making a €55 million switch to Tottenham last summer.

However, Richarlison’s time at Tottenham has been less than stellar, with his goal tally leaving much to be desired. Despite netting only three goals and providing four assists in 33 appearances, he continues to be on the radar of several top-tier clubs, including Real Madrid.

Ancelotti, who has a history with Richarlison from their shared time at Everton, is reportedly championing the cause for the Brazilian’s move to Madrid.

The Italian manager, known for his tactical acumen, was able to bring out the best in Richarlison during their Everton days. Even with Richarlison’s current form being a bit of a rollercoaster ride, Ancelotti’s faith in the player’s potential remains unshaken.

The rumour mill suggests that Ancelotti is urging Real Madrid to make a move for the 26-year-old when the summer transfer window opens.

Given Richarlison’s current market value of around €55 million, a deal within that ballpark could be on the horizon.

However, it’s worth noting that Real Madrid’s preference leans towards Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe over the Tottenham star.

Recent chatter suggests that Real Madrid is eyeing a 2024 move for Mbappe, and with the upcoming arrival of Endrick at Santiago Bernabeu next year, it’s uncertain whether there will be room for Richarlison.

Nevertheless, Ancelotti is reportedly keen on bringing Richarlison on board this summer.

As the summer transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will heed Ancelotti’s advice and orchestrate a reunion between him and Richarlison at Bernabeu next season.

As it stands, a summer move for the versatile Tottenham forward seems more like a long shot than a sure thing.
