According to reports from German tabloid BILD, Real Madrid have set their sights on two of Bayer Leverkusen’s brightest talents as they look to strengthen their squad.
Moussa Diaby and Jeremie Frimpong have caught the eye of Los Blancos scouts with a string of impressive performances in the Bundesliga this campaign.
The 23-year-old French forward Diaby has been in sensational form, notching nine goals and seven assists in 29 league starts.
Boasting an average of 1.9 key passes and 14 big chances created per game, Diaby has showcased his ability to unlock opposition defences with his blistering pace, trickery and vision.
Madrid’s interest in the fleet-footed frontman stems from a lack of a standout starter on the right flank, but Diaby also offers versatility to play on the left or as a second striker.
Frimpong, 22, has been instrumental in anchoring Xabi Alonso’s 3-4-3 system at right wing-back but is equally adept at right-back.
With Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez ageing, the enterprising fullback could provide a long-term solution to a problem position.
Frimpong has contributed eight goals and six assists this campaign, while averaging three successful dribbles and ten defensive actions per match.
