Real Madrid’s Search for a Reliable Right-Back Intensifies

In a surprising twist of events, Real Madrid, the Spanish football giants, are reportedly setting their sights on a familiar face – Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi, currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

According to the Spanish news outlet, Defensa Central, the 24-year-old right-back has caught the eye of the Merengues, who are on the hunt for fresh talent in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Hakimi, a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy, La Fabrica, has been making waves in the football world since his early days with the Spanish club.

His career took a turn for the better during a two-year loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, where he truly found his footing.

Following a brief but impactful stint at Inter Milan, Hakimi joined PSG in July 2021, where he has been showcasing his skills and growing as a player.

Since his move to the Parc des Princes, Hakimi has been nothing short of phenomenal, contributing nine goals and 11 assists in 79 appearances for the French club.

However, the summer transfer window could see him part ways with Les Parisiens, as Real Madrid appears keen on bringing him back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid’s interest in a right-back is driven by the declining performance of their veteran player, Dani Carvajal.

With Carvajal no longer the reliable force he once was, Los Blancos are eager to find a suitable replacement.

While several names, including Kyle Walker, have popped up on their radar, Hakimi’s potential as a long-term solution makes him a highly attractive prospect for the outgoing La Liga champions.

Achraf Hakimi Set for Santiago Bernabeu Return?

Adding to the intrigue, recent reports suggest that Hakimi himself is open to a return to Real Madrid. However, the strained relationship between PSG and Real Madrid could throw a wrench in the works.

Despite this, Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, is reportedly ready to make an offer to the French champions, in a bid to strengthen his squad.

As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on PSG and Real Madrid. Will they be able to put their differences aside and strike a deal for Hakimi?

Only time will tell. For now, Hakimi remains a top target for Real Madrid, adding an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming transfer season.
