Former Real Madrid midfield maestro Guti has lavished praise on Vinicius Junior, claiming the Brazilian wunderkind is in even better form than fellow phenom Kylian Mbappé.
The 22-year-old Vinicius has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 21 goals and providing 16 assists in 45 matches across all competitions to establish himself as an integral part of Real Madrid’s attack.

His breathtaking dribbling, pace and flair have tormented defenders all season and helped propel Real to the top of La Liga and into the Champions League quarterfinals.
Speaking on El Chiringuito, Guti gushed about Vinicius’ ability and potential for greatness. “It’s incredible. The way he puts fear into defenders, how easily he can dribble one way or another. When he has more consistency with his final ball, he’ll be a god of football,” he said.
When asked if Vinicius is performing at a higher level than Mbappé right now, Guti responded emphatically: “Of course. Current form? Number one right now.”

While Mbappé has notched 31 goals for Paris Saint-Germain this season, Guti believes Vinicius has the edge. The former Real playmaker added that if Vinicius can become more consistent, he is capable of reaching the pinnacle of football stardom.
